About me

“My life as a cinematographer began in 1993 when a private TV station in Iceland hired me as a camera man. I loved the job, so I decided to quit school and focus completely on camera work. I worked there for three years, shooting news, program, sports etc.

In 1996, I joined Saga Film Productions in Iceland when they offered me an in-house Director of Photography position. With Saga Film I shot close to 300 commercials for both domestic and international markets. Gradually, I started getting hired on more and more projects, worldwide. In 2001 I shot my first commercial for the US market. It was for Jaguar cars and the spot was very well received. Less than a year later, I signed with L.A.-based talent agency Dattner Dispoto and Associates.

I have been on the road for 15 years, working on various commercials as well as feature film projects. I currently live in Iceland with my wife and two best kids in the world…
